"Om braam breem braum sah budhaya namah"

The common practise for chanting these mantras is that, people chant these mantras by holding a string with 108 japa beads on them which resembles the rosaries. These Mercury mantras need to be recited 9000 times within the time of 21 days by performing various puja with many flowers and fruits. Gayatri Mantra for Mercury:

"Om Budhagrahaya vidmahe, Indu putraya dhimahi, tanno somya prachodayat"

 

The Gayatri mantra can be categorised into three parts. Each part has its own name and significance. The first part is the chants to the planet mercury. The second part is the Mantra and the final part is the final synopsis of the mantra’s powers or shakthi.This mantra is usually chanted three times in a day; at sunrise, at noon and also at sunset. During the sunrise it is named as Gayatri which is the early stage of the Goddess and also the companion of Lord Brahma. It is known as Savitri in the noon time, which is the better half of Lord Shiva. In sunset, it is referred to as Sarasvati, the aged form who is also the wife of Lord Vishnu.In order to seek the blessings of the Planet Mercury, you can also chant the following mantra.


"Priyangava-gulikashyam rupena pratimambudam

saumyam saumya-gunopetam tani pranamamy aham"
