You can Chant the following Mantra, which is the special name (name) for Mars as presedded by its power mantra. You can recite this Mantra to get the blessing of the Mars.
"Om Krim Kum Kujaya Namah"
The word ‘Krim’ indicates the Karana Shakti which is the power of work and motivation and conversion. There are two more mantras, in addition to the above mantra, which are good for this planetary God. You can choose and chant the easy Mantra which you are able to memorise easily.
"Om kraam kreem kraum sah bhaumaya namah"
"Om ang angarkaaya namah"
Usually, these mantras are recited by holding the string of 108 jepa beads. This string is much similiar to the rosaries.The Mars God mantras should be chanted 11,000 times within a span of 20 days. You are also supposed to perform Puja with red flowers and red sandal wood. The auspicious time to start the recitation is Tuesday during the half moon. By keeping the 'Mangal Yantra' in the place of worship or the recitation, will increase the blessing from the Mars God. Gayatri Mantra for Mars is as follow.
"Om Angarkaya vidmahe, bhoomipalaya dhimahi, tanno Kujah prachodayat"
This Gayatri Mantra has three parts. The first part is the Chants or verses to Mars, the second part is the actual mantra and the third part can be considered as the sum up of the powers and energies of the Mantra.This Gayatri Mantra has t be recited thrice a day; at dawn, at noon and also at dusk. At dawn, it is known as Gayatri, the consort of Lord Brahma. At noon, it will be referred as Savitri, which is the mature form of the Goddess. She is wife of Lord Shiva. At dusk, it is referred as Sarasvati, the companion of Lord Vishnu. Other than the above mantras, you can also choose to recite the following Purani Mantra for the Mars God.
"Dharani-garbha-sambhutam vidyut kanti-samaprabha
Kumaram shakti-hastam ca mangalam pranamamy aham"
The English translation for the above mantra is,“ I hereby submit my respects to Shree Mangala, the God of the planet Mars, who is the child of the Goddess of Earth. His powers are radiant as the lightning, and he looks like a courageous young man who has spear in his hand” It is very important that, all the above mantras should be chanted with the steady devotion and spirituality. Without the devotion and the purity of heart, these mantras will be nothing but words. So, in order to obtain the maximum effects and blessings from the Mars God, you need to chant all the mantras and perform the puja with at most devotion towards the Mars God.
